Train No. 27

The Expedition members departed Sanford for Port Tampa on March 12 on two trains, No. 27 and No. 73. These were probably trains of the South Florida Railroad or the Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West System. The two canvas boats purchased by the Expedition party had arrived previously in Sanford on express train No. 71 and were transported to Port Tampa on No. 27.
