Harry Tuttle

Harry Tuttle; source: HistoryMiamiHarry Tuttle was the son of Julia DeForest (Sturtevant) Tuttle and Frederick L. Tuttle. In 1891, he moved to Miami with his mother and sister, Frances. He helped his mother in her efforts to buy land and develop Miami into a big city. During the Expedition party's stay in Miami, Harry and Julia Tuttle gave Ingraham and the rest of the group a tour of the Biscayne Bay region, including Cutler, Lemon City and Cocoanut Grove. They introduced them to settlers such as the Addisons, who showed their crops and land to the group.
