The Compañía
Cubana Primadera was incorporated in 1956 as a Liberian corporation.
The company produced wallboard from cane bagasse. Its factory was
located at the Francisco Sugar Company which was also the factory's raw
material source. The Francisco Sugar Company owned thirty percent
of Primadera's stock. Start-up capital for the company was provided
by a loan from the Export-Import Bank.
