Series 91 contains records
of Jacob S. Levene, Secretary of the Francisco Sugar Company. Most
of the records were generated after the Cuban government seized the company's
Cuban properties. The series documents the company's response and it's
eventual transformation.
Included in the series
are documents related to meetings of the stockholders and board of directors.
Of special interest are Cuban tax forms for 1952-1959 and stockholder cards
that indicate citizenship. Especially revealing are the letters from
former Cuban employees in exile and in Cuba.
