Notes: "In a workshop in the Lankes orchard in Gardenville, New York, J.J. Lankes cut his first wood engravings on apple wood, and printed them on a Washington handpress. And he and his publisher brother Frank issued books and greeting cards, during 1920-25. The wood engraver partner of the firm engraved this mark for the press." © James Lamar Weygand
