Notes: "In Worcester, Massachusetts, famed among printers for its association with Isaiah Thomas, Elmer Gleason established the Stratford Press in 1913. Like so many other fine presses, its basic equipment was the handpress. Its device, designed by that printer, was a monogram of the letters SP in old English black letter." © James Lamar Weygand
