I. OPTIMIZE DELIVERY OF LIBRARY RESOURCES AND SERVICES

1. Build and manage library collections in support of academic programs (Develop collections consistent with funding)
2. Provide timely access to requested materials
3. Simplify search/discovery of library resources
4. Build Digital Library infrastructure
5. Build the information literacy/library instruction program
6. Increase library outreach and marketing efforts
7. Undertake systematic review of reference services designed both to adapt to changes in facilities and technology and to improve quality of service delivered

II. IMPROVE LIBRARY FACILITIES TO MEET PROGRAM NEED

1. Receive and analyze facilities planning reports from Marston, Technology Services, & Special and Area Studies Collections.
2. Discuss the submitted proposal for a new AFA/Music Library

III. MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE INFRASTRUCTURE TO REFLECT ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT

1. Increase resources to support library services as needed by academic programs
2. Improve management information/decision making
3. Better integrate faculty and staff into library decision structure
4. Develop, recruit and retain an excellent staff
5. Streamline operations to focus on above strategic priorities
