28 - Tillandsia bartramii Elliott (Bromeliaceae); Ewan's label points out that Small, in his SE Flora, treated this species as T. tenuifolia, but that doesn't appear to be a valid name. the interesting point here is that this was named to commemorate Bartram!
29 - Kalmia hirsuta Walter (Ericaceae), a coastalplain relative of the northern Mountain Laurel; Ewan's name is a synonym |
