This film consists of short clips depicting events that occurred at the University of Florida. There are five clips and it is uncertain if all were taken in the same year, but all appear to be from the early 1940s. The film canister was labeled "Florida Send Off 1940." The film begins with a story board "Football Highlights Florida vs. Mississippi State" followed by another "At Gainesville . . . students and citizens stage the biggest 'send off' ever given a departing Gator squad." Where the students are being sent off to is unclear. Florida played Mississippi State in Gainesville in 1940 and Starkville in 1941. The football footage was taken at Florida Field.
