Raymond Gay-Crosier's Albert Camus Collection includes manuscripts, typescripts, first edition publications, correspondence, miscellaneous documents and texts, and audio recordings created by and about the French-Algerian author, journalist, and philosopher, Albert Camus. Collected over four decades by Gay-Crosier, these important items of Camusiana document all aspects of the author's life (1913-1960). The items date from 1926 to 2013, with the majority dating from the 1930s through the 1950s.

The collection is open for research with some restrictions. Please review all Access and Usage Restrictions prior to requesting materials from the collection. The University of Florida Libraries gratefully acknowledge the authorization by Catherine Camus, the executrix of the author's literary legacy, to include material from private archival sources.
