Notes: "In 1927 we were searching for a name for our press. E.F. Benson's Sir Francis Drake had just been published and we read it. A ship, we thought, would make a good mark, and The Golden Hind a good name. I made the drawing from a contemporary engraving. That was our first pressmark. (A.R.)" | |||
