Both art and engineering student attend class together for a full term and work on the components of ceramic glazes.  Materials sciences engineering professor Dr. Larry L. Hench conceived of the idea for the class.  Each year a glaze competition is sponsored by Karamus, the honorary engineering society.  Walter McCracken, a graduate student, is in charge of this year’s competition.

A study of the effects of a sealant used to prevent tooth decay in back molars.  Four hundred Alachua County children are participants in the study.  Both Dr. Carroll Bennett, a UF pediatric dentist, and Dr. Stanley Lotzkar, UF chair of community dentistry, are involved in the project.

Marston at a dinner at the Quantum Theory Conference in Palm Coast.  Robert Bryan receives the same award.  The camera pans around the various tables and Van Camp mentions the names of many of the notable guests.  Because of camera problems this video could not be aired.
