A promotional tape produced by the Division of Information and Publication Services at the University of Florida.  Chris Dudley was the producer.

Originally produced on ¾” u-matic.  Reformatted to Betacam SP in 2003 and MPEG-2 in 2005.

This was a promotional tape produced to attract black students to the University of Florida.  The narrator was Bruce Sawyer, a senior, who was a broadcast major.  The diversity of the University of Florida student body is noted and campus views, buildings, students, activities, groups, and classes are shown.  Some students, as Tony Bryant, Spencer Jackson, and Ray Ross, give brief statements about the merits of UF.  Several professors such as James Haskins and Pauline Lawrence are shown.  Near the end of the tape Bruce Sawyer introduces President Marshall Criser outside the main entrance to Tigert Hall.  

After the conclusion of the main tape a short segment immediately follows with many candid shots of African American students and families on the UF campus while the song “Lean on Me” is played.
